John Oliveira


John Oliveira is a former federal agent and highly sought-after expert with over 30-years of law enforcement and security experience extending around the globe. As a former Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Mr. Oliveira investigated and oversaw complex investigations into hundreds of crimes against persons to include homicides, sexual assaults, and other violent crimes in some of the most violent areas in the United States. 


As a federal agent, he served as the National Counter Terrorism Special Response Team (SRT) Commander in which he provided leadership during some of the nation's biggest crises. During the attacks of 9/11, Mr. Oliveira served as Incident Commander for the Department of Interior and was eventually assigned to assist in the development of a National Counter-Terrorism Strategy. During Hurricanes Ivan and Katrina, Mr. Oliveira was deployed to Louisiana and Mississippi to assist in overseeing emergency management operations in the region. 

He would later serve as the National Child Abuse Coordinator overseeing child maltreatment investigations throughout the U.S., develop national level policies, provide testimony to congress regarding child abuse and domestic violence, sit on several national committees and boards, train law enforcement and social services personnel in the area of child abuse investigations, and created the Hope Card Project to protect victims of domestic violence.


In 2006, Mr. Oliveira deployed to Iraq as a special advisor assigned as a Mentor/Operator to the Counter Terrorism Special Operations Force, Emergency Response Unit (ERU) in Iraq where he trained and assisted in the unit’s capture of over 600 insurgents throughout hostile regions of Iraq. He worked as a security manager from 2009-2011 in hostile areas of Northern Iraq combating insurgency and protecting critical assets. Mr. Oliveira has provided security services and consultation around the world in the Middle East, Africa, South America, and North America.


Mr. Oliveira is a veteran of the U.S. Army and has an undergraduate degree from California State University- Monterey Bay in Global Studies, as well as, a graduate degree in Global Security from Arizona State University and will complete his graduate degree in Forensic Science in the fall of 2024. John Oliveira is the recipient of several awards including a Meritorious Achievement Commendation Award from the Secretary of the Interior for his actions during the attacks on 9/11, the Service to America Justice Medal, US Senatorial Recognition, a recipient of the Victim Service Recognition Award from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, IACP Investigator of the Year, and several other commendations.
